Additional reports are available which track and inform changes in market dynamics covering top-line performance, supply, demand, industry forecasts, profitability and segmentation data. Trend Reports display monthly performance data including occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, supply, demand and revenue. Daily and segmentation performance data can be included upon request and availability. Pipeline Reports track the status of new supply, from unconfirmed to under construction while also providing information on current and historic supply trends. Hotel construction data is gathered from major chains, proprietary software, management companies, and independent sources.
In 2008 STR launched Hotel News Now which provides news coverage and hotel analysis that leverages its access to data. This division comprises a multimedia website and collection of e-newsletters, including the Daily Update, Tech Impact Report, etc.
